Ashwaganda for Stress Management πŸ“šπŸ“²πŸ€“

Lil' Background:

Over the past year or so, I have become pretty good at managing my stress. And when I say manage, I mean experiencing it but combating it positively & not letting it run my daily life.

*Hello GAD (generalizes axiety disorder diagnosis at age 13, you do not define me πŸ‘‹πŸ½πŸ˜Š)*

Still, I’d be lying through my teeth if I said I don’t have my moments...and by moments I mean anything from a literal moment of overwhelming anxiety to a couple weeks of chaos.

Just recently, right before my Spring Break, I found myself in that place. Overwhelmed by school assignments, internship stuff, social commitments and life in general. So I turned to my little "Bible," The Secret, and got reminded that β€œwhat we resist, persists.” So I mindfully let go of my needing to feel calm in the moment & put out the vibes of abundance. *Read the book and you’ll understand...*

Why Ashwaganda:

And like literal magic, what do I wake up to the next morning? A DM from a high-end supplemt comapny, asking me if I could give an honest review their KSM-66 Ashwagandha--a very pure and high-quality form of the adaptogen.  Call it a coincidence if you wantβ€”but after my life circumstances, I simply do not believe in coincidence πŸ’πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

So as a nutrition nerd, I was already pretty well versed in Ashwaganda as an adaptogen & its benefits for stress management--physical AND mental--so I figured this was a sign! I made sure to do my own research on the company and KSM-66 Ashwagandha and agreed to try it out.

How I Took It:

So the universe has perfect timing and the cute lil bottle of organic ashwagandha came in the mail at the start of my last week of midterms and I just about ripped the package open (LOL). Still, though I am notoriously positive, when it comes to what I put in my body, I'm a skeptic...I feel like you just have to be.

The serving size is 2 capsules, equaling 1200mg of pure Ashwagnda, but I always air on the side of caution & start with a low dose. So I took one capsule with breakfast and went on with my day and nothing alarming happened so I upped my dosage to the full serving size the next day.

My Results:

So, like I said, I tired this during one of the busiest weeks of the semester not really expecting to notice much of difference. BUT, after 3 days of taking it, changes in my mood & energy were undeniable. After taking it in the morning, I would notice that by lunch time, I felt my mood and energy remaining pretty stable when I'd usually want a coffee. And by the end of midterm week, I noticed I didn't feel like I had been hit by a truck--just understandably tired, but in a very manageable way.

Overall Review of Fresh Healthcare KSM-66 Ashwagandha:

There are soooo many supplement brands out there and finding a pure, company is really like  finding a needle in a haystack. I really grew to love this brand right off the bat because they have nothing to hide and this pure Ashwagandha was safe, even for someone as sensitive as me.

Should You Try It?

If you are a student, girl-boss, athlete, mom...anything that comes with inevitable stress, I'd say give this a try. This is not a Zanax pill that will give you immediate relief, but rather a subtle, overall balancer that really came through during a very hectic week. So if you ever feel like you are not handling your stress in the most healthy of ways & want subtle but noticeable stress support, I’d say, just go for it!   ✨

But, just remember that everyone’s body is different! Even with mine being on the more sensitive side, this still agreed with meee!

NOTE: I agreed to try out THIS brand specifically because their quality standards are some of the highest I have come across & the price point is perfect for my student budget...So this is really the only brand I can recommend right now, but just do your research ❣️✨
